Dreamcatchers are traditionally made by Native Americans from Willow and are now created using this and other materials.  There are several versions  of the legend attached to the dreamcatchers although they are all very similar.  One version is that the web is created to catch all the dreams and the good dreams pass through the central hole and flow down the feather to the dreamer.  The bad dreams are trapped in the web and burn away in the morning sun.
